The GENESIS GeoInformation Services provide a set of generic GIS and EO processing functions offered through the OGC Web Processing Service Specification. The services that are implemented are thematic-neutral but are employed by the GENESIS Pilots to quickly realize complex processing chains where the specific thematic processes are pre- and post-ceded by these generally applicable services. The range of services that are implemented are shown in the following figure.
Apart from the Normal WPS 1.0.0 protocol, the services also support SOAP bindings with WS-Addressing based asynchronous communications. In addition to the services themselves there is also a tool that allows building the graphical user interfaces within the GENESIS Portal
Data Fusion Services
The Data Fusion Services of GENESIS focus on the following aspects:
- Data Conversion: Data format transformation and data extraction;
- Data Fusion: Merging of several data formats and applying geo-processing logic on the merged data;
- Computation: Execution of thematic algorithms on fused data;
- Alert detection: Processing of alert conditions and alert raising;
- Sensor Fusion: Conversion of in-situ sensor data to vector data.

The picture above is a screenshot of the Computation GUI for Data Fusion Services. The editor allows creation of computations to be delivered as business logic for the Data Fusion Service engine.
The prompt displays the result of a test run from the Computation GUI to the Data Fusion Service Web Processing Service.
Sensor Data Fusion
Performing meaningful and comprehensive GI analysis tasks requires high-quality base data in terms of accuracy, completeness and topicality. While during the last years, geo-data infrastructures have been established accounting for accuracy and completeness, currently the aspect of live data sources is gaining importance due to increasing availability of sensor data. Thus, a GENESIS Sensor Fusion service has been created for harmonizing and integrating SOS-conformal measurement data into existing GI systems by making extensive use of well-established data provision interfaces (OGC WFS, WMS and WCS). Thus, the service allows for integrating heterogeneous real-time data and static sources into analysis and decision-support systems.
Decision support services
The Decision Support Services is composed by a component that helps decision makers to take the correct decision in each situation. For each scenario, there are some pre-defined situations (normal winter situation, abnormal summer situation), and the system calculates with a decision algorithm which is the current situation of the scenario at each moment, offering the users the mandatory and / or recommended decisions to take (Publish information, Preventive ban, Cancel bathing ban). These decisions are calculated taking into account the current situation and observations and measurements taken from Insitu Data Sensors (water color, pH, foam presence)
Users are allowed to save the taken decisions and generate reports in different file formats such as pdf or html. The users can also search and visualize a historical track of the decisions taken in the selected scenario, and consulting the data that led to the taken decision.
Report publishing
The Report Publishing Service is a component in charge of the generation of reports according different templates created and managed by the users. The content of the report is independent of the template used. Reports generated can be visualized, saved or disseminated.
Users will be able to manage the templates with a graphical interface where they can check how the report will look likes. They can select or not the elements that compounds the report such as title, subtitle, underline, relevant information, page number, page header, page footer, date, summary, table or image. Table also can be showed in different formats, columnar and tabular.
