The Portal and Service integration and validation work package has the following objectives:

• to integrate the Portal and the Services provided by the IT partners in order to provide the final GENESIS solution;
• to validate the integrated information system through typical scenario representative for the three application domains;
• to support the deployment and the use of the GENESIS solution by the various thematic pilots.

The integration activities are carried out on an incremental basis, starting from the core components and extending the test scenario to include all the components, according to the delivery planning. Four main steps have been identified in this incremental process, named iterations:

V1: First version used to start pilot integration. contains the core components

V2 Beta: Intermediate version allowing to pre-integrate/validate most of the GENESIS components

V2.0: Final version of the development cycle

V2.1: Final version taking into account users feedback.

The output of WP6800 also includes detailed user and installation guides enriched by chapters describing step-by-step how a service developer can easily create his own services and make them available on the Portal, and how users can access and use the services registered on the Portal.
