The 3rd GENESIS User Workshop was held at the Thales Aleniaspace premises in Cannes-La Bocca on June 15th, 2011. The event focused on the presentation and demonstration of solutions, and was embedded in the intermediate review meeting of the project. The workshop was attended by 41 participants, primarily affiliated to the end user community and the application pilots. Following a general introduction into the objectives and the recent status of the project, the morning was dedicated to live-demonstrations of service implementations on the GENESIS reference platform by all six application pilots.

The afternoon session concentrated on the IT-issues of the GENESIS solution, comprising:

• a comprehensive survey on the upgraded core toolkit and its new features by TAS;
• the presentation of the extended optional toolkit, data related web-service factories and the Buddata studio features by 4CT;
• the demonstration of the access to the GENESIS solution by Spacebel

The feedback of the participants was retrieved in the final discussion round in order to improve the services and the dissemination measures.
